This satisfying and protein-packed meal is perfect for a hearty lunch, keeping you full and energized throughout the day. The bold flavors of a Philly cheesesteak blend seamlessly with pasta, making it an easy and delicious midday meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 ½ tsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 (19-ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add steak to one side of the pan and bell peppers and onions to the other. Season with steak seasoning.
  • Cook steak until browned and vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir to combine.
  • Add frozen tortellini and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the dish. Cover for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Stir everything together and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Use fresh tortellini for a softer texture and shorter cooking time.
  • For extra cheesiness, mix in cheddar or mozzarella.
